Community Life
 
The Lester Senior Housing Community, consisting of 175 units, is comprised of the Margaret & Martin Heller Independent Living Apartments and the Judy & Josh Weston Assisted Living Residence.  Situated on the Aidekman Jewish Federation Campus off Route 10 East in Whippany, the community opened in May 2001.  It consists of a mix of 84 market-rental 1 & 2 bedroom Independent Living units; 36 1-bedroom low & moderate Independent Living units; and 55 Assisted Living studio and 1-bedrooom units. When it opened, Lester was the first Jewish-sponsored, kosher Assisted Living community in the state of New Jersey.
 
At the Lester Senior Housing Community, seniors keep both their minds and bodies active amid beautiful surroundings.  They enjoy elegant dining and have easy access to shopping, entertainment and nightlife.  Most importantly, they are part of a dynamic community.
